May is one of the most unique months of the year. Mixed within these 31 days are celebrations, remembrances, and schedules that brim over with activities galore. Thankfully, the days are long and the weather is usually so nice that we find special energy to somehow press on with enthusiasm.
To assist with your extra busy month… this article is a little bit shorter than most. Inside the newsletter you will find all of the details you need to stay engaged with the active ministries of Westgate and beyond.
Highlighted below are just a few reminders to give Siri, put in your Daytimer, or post on your refrigerator.
Spring Musical During the morning worship service on May 6th, our adult choir will present Into All The World. We had some neighbors who only came to one event from all that we invited them to attend. It was one of our musicals. People more readily come to these ministry opportunities so please invite a friend.
Mother’s Day Each year we honor the unequaled role of motherhood and people flock to churches on Mother’s Day, so ride the momentum on May 13thand invite a guest to join you for Sunday School and Worship.
Graduate Recognition On May 20th we will recognize our graduates in the morning worship service. I trust you will be present to affirm the achievements of our students and rally around them as they embark on their new adventures.
VBS Worknight from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. on May 20th we get to finish some final preparations for our upcoming Vacation Bible School. Don’t miss this fun night of eating, visiting, and working on craft projects for this major week in June. Catch your breath, stay hydrated physically and spiritually, and keep involved with your church family during this exciting month.
Your Friend & Pastor, Raymond
